Halloween?

My fiancee are planning a fall wedding, and we want our main color to be orange....

This poses 2 main problems;

1) How do we keep the groom and his groomsmen from looking to halloween-y if we go with orange on black tuxes?

2) If Pink is our secondary color, is that too summery?  Is there a shade of pink or other color we could tie in to make the colors more fall appropriate?

    Forget the whole "season" idea.  Do what you want, when you want.  I think they only funky season thing would be pumpkins in February and Christmas greens in June, ya know?!

    That being said, I think the pink will look fine with the orange.  You can add some other colors in on your flowers as well, maybe some yellow freesia, and blue delphinium along with hot pink  and orange roses.  (Pic Above, can't get it to move)

    Just because you saw it on Four Weddings, doesn't mean it's a good idea.
  • Maybe make it a softer orange instead of pumpkin orange?

  • You could try a burnt orange. Bright, primary orange should be fine as well, but that might have the jack o'lantern look that you're trying to avoid.
  • Honestly, I would skip the orange vests or whatever for the groomsmen.  Men look so much nicer and more adult (and less prom-y) without the colored vests.
  • Definitely forego the "novelty" ties and waistcoverings. If they're wearing tuxedos, stick with black satin.

    Opt for coordinating pocket squares and/or lapel flowers for the gentlemen. Maybe even go "crazy" with some orange in the socks...
