Color suggestions

we are getting married in Dec '10. im having a hard time deciding a color scheme.
I dont want anything too Christmas like.
My 3 ideas so far are:

red/silver/black or pale pink/silver or a jewel colored pink/silver (or even sub silver for charcoal.) what do others think? any different color suggestions?

Its whatever you like...the color for the season is out....and you can pair most colors with the right type of decor to make it appear in season.  I do like the blue and silver idea. Also...deep plum or other shades of purple with silver would be pretty. Actually any jewel tone would work great!

A friend of mine just got engaged and has decided to have a "winter wedding".  She has asked for my colour help! Yeah, right cause I barely know what I want!

I suggested 3 to her knowing what her and her FI's favorite colours are:

1) Deep purple and orange

2) Bright pink and yellow

3) Clover green (we call it RIder Green) and yellow

Her ultimate decision was the Deep Purple, Bright Pink, and Yellow.  Its your wedding, do what you want.  In the end everything can look great together its just the way you customize it.

I agree that the light pink sounds really pretty. Red is used most frequently in dec/jan weddings so if that's a concern you might want to avoid red.
