In a couple weeks I am going shopping with my bridesmaids for their dresses and at that time I want to make sure I have all of their attire figured out. I am 99.9% positive that I will choose floor length red dresses, I've discussed my vision with them and so far everyone is completely on board. I will be purchasing a set of pearl jewelery for each bridesmaid (not as a gift) because I want all of the jewelery to match. What I'm stuck on now is the shoes. As much as I am very Type A and like everything uniformed, I don't think I am terribly picky about the shoes, considering I am almost positive they will be wearing floor length dresses. My thought is to have each girl pick her own shoes as long as they are black. This way they are not obligated to buy a new pair of shoes they may not even like, and each girl can get something that fits her feet perfectly. My sister (MOH) and FSIL are both about 5' tall and may prefer a heel, and my best friend is about 5'8" and may prefer a pair of flats.
So, did you require everything to match, including shoes? Or did you let your bridesmaids choose certain things? Also, if the dresses are red what color would you want the shoes?
