Do I need crinoline

I don't know if I should get crinoline to go with my dress...if I do, what type should I get? There is 2-hoop, 3-hoop, full A-line, I was thinking a line!! Let me know what you think!

Re: Do I need crinoline

  • Does it NEED crinoline?  No.  But it depends entirely on how full you would like your skirt to look.  If you would like a princess-style full skirt, then go for the crinoline!

  • I have an A Line dress and didn't think I would need a crinoline, or even want one, but after trying the dress on with one (A-Line crinoline), it seemed to have more flow and I decided I liked it much better. If your bridal store has them to try on with your dress, I would go that route, so you don't end up buying a crinoline that is more full than what you would want.

  • Thanks girls! Casey that really helped!
  • It is completely up to you whether you have the crinoline slip under your dress, but I would like to point out that they do a great job of filling out the dress and, I noticed, helping to keep the train spread out a little better. My dress is a very flowy chiffon and the train kept rolling over on itself when I would walk, but when I put the crinoline slip on underneath, it stayed spread out a lot nicer. There are pros and cons to it. I would say you should at least try one on if you can and see how it flows.
Omigosh! October 9th is coming at me quick!
