My best friend offered for me to borrow her veil for my wedding. I want to do this because #1 it is sentimental to me because she is my bff and #2 it is so pretty and matches my dress perfectly.
My issue is that it is waist length and I would prefer an elbow length veil. Is there a way I can have this pinned up shorter under my up-do? My stylist suggested that I just get it altered but I don't want to ask my friend if I can re-work her veil. That is not my place and I should just buy a new one if I wanted to rip hers apart.
Has anyone borrowed a veil and had it pinned up shorter without anyone noticing? I also want to stick with this veil because I don't care to spend any more $$ on this wedding then I already have.
