HELP! i cannot find a wedding dress i like!!!

Hi everyone!
I am having one hell of a time finding a wedding dress. All of the dresses i've considered are either discontinued or not even in existance. (ie, the wedding dress in spiderman 3) Not only that, but i have 5 months and 3 weeks until i get married. I'm running out of time!!!!!

Am i the only one who has this problem?

I'm really not that picky, either. Just unlucky i suppose.

Any suggestions on places that are inexpensive ? (please, no davids.)

Try changing your approach - instead of looking through magazines or on the web for a dress, try just going to a store and looking through the samples that they have available. That way you'll at least know that you're looking at dresses that are available. I'm sure by now you already have an idea of what features you like and don't like.

I am ordering mine off of ebay and it will be custom made- you give them your measurments and they hand make it. I know a bride who just ordered two dresses and the quality was AMAZING, so we ordered my fiance's sister's and cousin's grad dresses from ebay as well and the quality of them was AMAZING.

Search Wedding Gown in the seach bar, then when the search comes up you select "Custom" in the size section.
They take about about 4-8 weeks to make and one week to ship. Just make sure that you check the feedback score for the seller!

I would definitely go to bridal shops in your area and have a couple of appointments.  It sounds like you're not even sure what you like, so this will give you a better idea of what to look for.  There are thousands of dresses that never make it into magazines that are amazing!

Have you really not gone to try on dresses?! The dress I ended up falling in love with isn't even one I looked at and picked -- the bridal consultant did! What the dress looks like on the hanger, or even on models in magazines are not what you should go by as they look TOTALLY different on you. Once you start trying them on, you will find the one you love.

Do you have a photo of the spiderman 3 dress? The girls on this board are usually pretty good at finding dresses that are similar to a photo and are actually real!!

I think you must be referring to Spiderman 2.  The only marriage plot in #3 is the engagement.  Here is a photo I found of the dress and a website talking about the dress.  BTW very pretty.

*Edit* What about having the dress made locally?  The website I post has a fair bit of close-up photos and I think a good dressmaker could make it for you.  I think it is made out of silk knit, but you could use some other fabric for that to keep the cost down. I would post on your local board to see if you can find someone that makes dresses.
