Mantilla Veil Matching an Issue?

Looking and dreaming about the dress I may find for my wedding (I'm still 14 months off so I haven't gone shopping yet) and I have fallen in love with a lace edged mantilla veil.

Are there dress styles that won't work with a mantilla or are there things I need to keep in mind when trying dresses on?

I know it sounds like I've picked the veil before the dress, and honestly I probably have. If I don't wear a mantilla I'll probably go without a veil and just do a headpiece (but I'd really like a veil since I didn't wear one in my first wedding).

I don't think my dress would have look right with a Mantilla veil.

In my personal opinion, if the matilla veil has too much lace or embroidery at the edge it could look weird if you dress does not have the same amount of embroideries or lace... I do like mantilla veils also, my dress is similar to the allure 8362,  and I will be wearing this kind of mantilla that has just a bit embroidery, I think it would look great...

I have the same problem....I fell in love with a mantilla veil before I found my dress. Now I don't know if it actually goes with my dress or not but I'm still going to wear it because I love the veil and I love the dress. Do whatever you want!

I wanted a mantilla, too.  My entire dress is covered in lace, though, so it was just a little overwhelming.  My seamstress custom made a veil for me that sort of mimicks a mantilla with silver embrodery at the edges, and it carries the right balance now.

In other words, there are options, and if you play around you'll eventually get the look you're going for.
