Okay. Up to this point I had intended to wear TOMS in my wedding color (pink) under my dress. This being because I am not particularly coordinated, nor am I very familiar with walking in heels. Oh and i'd like to be somewhat comfortable for dancing etc! It's just a very "me" thing to do.

Today when I bought my dress, it became obvious very quickly that the dress looked much better when I was in a heel, the way it fell etc.

Any suggestions on a shoe type? I'm thinking maybe a wedge? I guess it's going to be like kindergarten training for the next month or so...I hadn't anticipated this obstacle..!

Look for a shoe without a super high heel. This will be easier for you to walk in if you aren't used to heels. I sometimes find a heel easier to walk in than a wedge because they can be a little more flexible. Just make sure you find something that you can be comfortable in. And remember, you can always put the TOMS on later in the night when your feet get tired!

I would suggest either a wedge or a very low heel.

Yes, wedge wedding shoes would be great for you- you'll add a few inches to your height but you don't have to wear uncomfortable high heels. Whether or not you want a slingback provides another option for you to choose from as well.

In fact, many brides often feel more comfortable in a pair of wedge bridal shoes than a pair of high heels with the same heel height. Since many stiletto heels have such a small contact point with the floor, balance is made even more difficult. A pair of wedges allows for some compromise: the added height but without the lack of stability!

Thank you for the suggestions ladies! I did see Toms males wedges, but I didn't see a big selection of color. My colors are pink and grey, what color would you suggest under an ivory dress?
