Pronovias help!!!

I picked up my Pronovias gown from the bridal shop to find it was made in china and is 100 polyester. Anyone else buy a Pronovias for your wedding? What is the fabric and where was yours made?! I fear I was sold a knockoff, as mine is different from the sample I was shown. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Re: Pronovias help!!!

  • Call the NYC Pronovias flagship store and ask them what your model dress is made of and where it is manufactured.  Was the store you bought it from an authorized dealer?

  • My cousin dress was from Pronovias and I've tried a few and the were defenitly not made of poliester but Pronovias has a second and cheaper brand named San Patrick.
Maybe they sold you one of the lower quality brand.
    Excuse my english!
  • Sorry to burst your bubble, but Pronovias and San Patrick are indeed made in China and constructed of Polyester and so are many of the high end designer gowns too.

The quality and fabric construction is done so well these days, so get over the "made in China" stigma and made of polyester one too.
Do you love the gown?  Is it in pristine condition, that is all that should matter to you!
  • I bought a Pronovias gown from a licensed shop (it was a sample) and it was made in spain. I would definitely call their flagship and inquire...

  • Re: high end designer gowns, once you hit the $3k and above range, in all of the designers I've looked at, you are getting real silks (even the tulle is made out of silk) and cotton alencon lace, etc.  I would never pay that much and accept polyester.
