Anyone know of a similar dress?

I love this dress but there is no way I can afford it in a million years. The dress is almost the whole budget of my wedding new and I have yet to come across one used at all. So I was wondering if anyone knew of a similar one in a $600 or under price range?

  • I think here you can find it!
  • Have you tried etsy? I've seen similar dresses there and a lot of designers can custom make the dresses for you at a much cheaper price. Just make sure you pick a shop with good reviews, I've seen a lot of girls on the boards have done this.

  • I wouldn't trust Bridal Buy without doing some research, it looks like a knock-off site and there are TONS of horror stories that range from 'didn't get anything and never got my money back' to 'it showed up and it's five different fabrics, too big yet too short, seams unfinished....' a better option would be checking recycledbride, oncewed, and other gently used dress sites.
It doesn't have to be perfect to be everything I want!

  • While there are excellent seamstresses on Etsy who may make this kind of thing, Etsy is also full of the same Chinese knock-off stores that exist elsewhere on the web. If you go that route, make sure you check where the seller is located and check their reviews.

I think David's Bridal has some tea-length dresses, and I'll second PP who suggested looking on some of the pre-owned sites (Recycled Bride, OnceWed) to see if anyone is selling it in your size.

If you're looking for something tea-length and vintage-y, I highly recommend Dolly Couture. I think they have dresses in your range, and they are beautiful. You probably would have to order online and find a seamstress to do any other alterations, but they are a legit business. I almost ordered from them when my wedding was going to be a little more informal.

  • BHLDN also has really cute vintage-style dresses, reasonably priced also (around 600-800 for tea-length dresses). If you are able to catch a sale or find one on a consignment/used shop, you'd get an awesome deal!

  • Thanks ladies for all of the suggestions!
