Get a second dress?

OK, I initially never thought I would consider getting a 2nd dress for my wedding, but after trying my big fat wedding dress on ( Big ball gown style), I know I'd better find one to change after the ceremony for comfort.

I stumpled upon the two dresses on the net:

Or do you guys think it's not necessory to order another one?

The second dress is a Maggie Sottero destinations dress, that site has knockoffs and pictures stolen from the designer.  I personally wouldn't give a dime to a company like that.  With that said, is there anything you can do with your current dress to make you more comfortable? You must have fell in love with it enough to buy it for your ceremony? If not, check out some other legit places, maybe David's bridal outlet section?

The first dress is from Allure...
  • I like the style of the 1st dress more, but I agree with PP to be careful of sites like that. You can get great 2nd dresses at the departement stores. I got mine at Nordstrom for $150.
  • Personally I think you should stick to one dress. I find it kinda tacky that people think they need 2 dresses. You spend usually quite a bit of money on the first one and only wear it for an hour maybe, why don't you just get one and be done with it? Just my opinion

  • That site sells knock offs so I would not get anything there. I don't think it's necessary to find a second dress, but if you do I'd look at higher end stores like Nordstroms, etc and find a legit dress in your pricerange.

  • I don't think it's necessary to get a second dress, but if you want one, can afford one, and think you'll be more comfortable wearing one, then I'd go for it. My work computer wouldn't load either of the pictures you posted so I'm not sure which style would be better but I would def. listen to the first two posters and be cautious where you buy it from.

  • In the beginning, I was thinking of getting a second dress since I thought I would be wearing something quite conservative for my church ceremony & to cover a back tattoo. I  ended up falling head over heels in love with my strap-less dress & can't imagine wanting to change. If I can cover my tattoo with makeup and/or tattoo covers, great, if not...brace yourselves in-laws, this is me & my tattoo in a greeeaaat dress! I don't know why you would have chosen a dress that is that uncomfortable, I did try some on that felt awful & were heavy & hot but the one I chose is light & so comfy! Especially considering it's a ball-gown too...good luck though, I'm sure you'll look great in whatever you wear. And if you do get a second dress, I prefer the first one!
  • You definitely don't need a second dress - whether you *want* a second dress is up to you.  I like the 2nd one in the pictures you posted, but I agree with PP get it from a legitimate retailer if you have to have a second dress.

Correct, Ive spent a few weeks to get my 1st wedding dress, it doesnt mean the dress is not far away from comfort, it's just big ball gown style, and I don't know how I can dance away when I'm in this dress ;-(

I dropped them an email for pics of both dresses, they told me they don't have the real pics of the two dresses at the moment, but will be able to send me in 2weeks, on the other hand,  they recommended two dresses for me as follows:

Anyway, they look nice in the pics, and Im kinda tempted to the prices which are both under $100.

Hmmm....Idk if it's a bad idea buying from them, but the customer support is great for response.
