stuck between 2 dresses

any tips on how to decide between 2 very similar dresses? price is not a factor.

Re: stuck between 2 dresses

  • I would say choose whichever looks best on you. I was in a similar situation before I bought mine as well. I took my FMIL and FSIL with me and they helped me choose. Whatever you do, once you make your decision, don't look back or second guess yourself. Ironically, I ended up choosing the more expensive one..lol
    Good luck!
  • Try them on one right after the other. I had 2 different dresses at 2 different shops that I really liked. When I found "the one", I tried on the other right after (it was right down the road) and there was NO comparison. I then went back and tried on "the one" and I just knew :) I highly recommend trying both of them on one right after the other if possible, it is time consuming, but it helped! Plus, whatever one you feel awesome in is the right one.

Will the store allow you to take pictures?

I liked one dress better in person and my mom liked another.  When I got home and saw pictures I saw she was right, the one she liked was much more flattering.

If not have the sales girl hold one dress up in front of you while you are wearing the other dress so you can quickly go from one to the other.

If you are still up in the air sit on it for a week or two, then go back and try them on again see what you think.

EDIT- also you should make a new acct that does not have your email address in it so you don't get a ton of spam. Go in make up a new user name, having nothing to do with your real name, b-day, SS#, mother's maiden name etc, best to keep the crazies away.
  • I was having a similar dilemma, until I had them show me how they looked bustled.  Then the decision was easy.  I knew right away that dress number 1 was the one.
