I recently got married and sold my wedding dress to someone on a classified board for around $500.  i paid about $850 for it new.  I just found a post on the classifeds where she is trying to sell this dress after her own wedding claiming that its new!  She said she paid $1100 for it etc.  No where does she mention that this dress was already worn which I think is a crappy thing to do to someone.  I feel bad for the person who buys it not knowing that its been worn twice! Not to mention she lies about where she got it and how much she paid for it.  Should I just drop it or say something?  Thanks for your opinions!

PM her.  That's crappy to do to someone!  I'd be furious if I found out I paid more for a used dress than I could have paid for it new.

Especially failing to mention that the dress has already been worn.  Horrible.  And she is trying to make money on a twice used dress!

Can you report her on the classifieds board and get the post removed?

depending on the site she has it posted on, you could have it flagged as a fraudulent posting and try to have it removed, or you could put up multiple posts letting people know what she is up to.

I'd definitely do something about it.  Like PP said, either have her reported or make a post telling people what she is doing.  That is so wrong!

Thanks ladies.  I actually ended up emailing the people who responded to her post telling them the truth.
