Junior Bridesmaids

I just received some great feedback on my color scheme on another board, so I figured I'd ask another question... looking through dresses I have picked these for the junior bridesmaids: http://flowergirlprincess.com/product_info.php?products_id=752

They are long, and I was wondering if it would look strange for the junior bridesmaids to have long dresses and the grown up bridesmaids to have tea-length black dresses? The flower girl and I will also have floor length, so should everything be floor length then??

I agree but I'm having a hard time finding long black dresses that I think my girls would like, ideally I'd like them to have something in their closet they could wear again at some point...

Have you looked @ any of Bill Levkoff's designs?

www.billlevkoff.com they have several floor length designs that would come in black.

Also, they have one that is similar to your flower girl dress.

Another great manufacturer is The Dessy Group..you can select by color, length, etc..

having different lengths is actually very common these days for weddings. The fact that all the younger girls (junior bridesmaids and flower girls) have longer I think makes it look more uniform.

I would personally select cocktail dresses, then. I don't think a lot of women would wear a tea-length dress again, especially since it can make some women look stumpy.

Have the girls tried anything on yet? Call them and get each of their budgets, figure out what price point you need to stay within, then go out shopping with some/all of them and try things on.

I think it looks better if all the dresses are the same lenghts.  In my opinion, it would look better in your pictures if they were all the same.

we're doing the same color and my bms are wearing short dresses - glad you asked the question, because i hadn't thought about it! what are you doing for your flower girl? is she in black or white?

The PP that mentioned tea length dresses can make girls look stumpy is exactly right. I have short legs and steer away from that length (for that very reason).  Cocktail or long is probably the most flattering for all.   Check this:
