Bridesmaid Jewelry

Hello!

I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction for bridesmaid's jewelry. I want something that the girls could wear again and I'm just a little overwhelmed at all the websites out there.

Thanks in advance!

Re: Bridesmaid Jewelry

  • Try etsy. They have tons of options whether you're looking for matching sets or something unique for each girl. Don't be afraid to convo a seller if you're ordering sets before ordering, because sometimes they'll work with you on price because you're ordering more.
  • Etsy is great. I also bought some really great earrings on sale at the knot shop a few months ago -- check it out.
  • Most likely, not all of your girls have the same taste.  Is it really all that important to have the same hair, nails, makeup, shoes, and jewelry?  Why not allow them to express their individuality and choose their own jewelry that best suits them.  You can have ultimate veto power over whether or not it looks ok, but they do not need to all be matchy matchy.

And if you do decide to take your original route, try something like Claire's where you don't spend a lot of money on each person because in all honest truth, only one or two of them may wear it again.

  • Etsy all the way. There is something for everybody on there. I got necklaces for my BMs there, after first seeing how they felt and what they wanted (they ultimately decided on their own they all wanted matching jewelry..not something I required and I really couldn't have cared less). There's a fabulous seller named BeadsStory that worked with us to customize necklaces. She did really great and it was fast. She even sent us pictures ahead of time to make sure it was to our liking. But not really knowing what style you're looking for, it's hard to know what direction to point you in. If you use etsy, just be sure to check the seller's reviews and shop policies. It'll give you an idea of how they are to work with.

    Good luck!

  • Ditto Etsy... I got my girls necklace and earring sets from there. PIB under "The Look".

This bears repeating.  When I've been in weddings, I've usually just picked up cheap jewelry at Claire's or Target, and it very, very rarely gets worn again, because I simply don't wear jewelry.
This is a neglected planning bio.
This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
  • My BMs just wore whatever they wanted ... MOH wore faux pearls, and BM wore her diamond eternity pendant.

That being said, if they would like you to buy them jewelry, I've seen nice sets in Macy's in the neighborhood of $20.

  • I got the jewelry for my girls at Macys- nice sets for 40% off...It all with that I spent about $20 for each girl- I'm gonna get them something else but if you can get a good deal at Macy's I would try there.
