What are you wearing under the dress?

Should I wear spanx for an extra slimming effect? Should I have a built in bra? Strapless bra? What is under your dress? Thanks

I will just be wearing underwear. I am having cups sewn in my dress and will be passing on the spanx (the dress is already going to squish me in). But it just depends on your dress.

Make sure whatever you are going to wear for the big day, that you wear the same thing for fittings (before alterations)...

I agree with the PPs. It depends on your dress. My dress has a very low back so when I bought my dress they told me not to bother with special bras or anything because they are going to sew cups in. So all Im wearing is underwear (although FI is telling me to just not wear anything, typical guy :P). So if you want the extra slimming and it wont effect the dress structure then go for the spanks, it really is up to your preference and what kind of dress you have.

I am wearing spanks because I'm a big girl but no bra. My dress has a laceup back and it holds my boobs up just fine.

My dress is a low back, mermaid style gown and I'm wearing Spanx and having cups sewn in.  The Spanx will be the longer ones for just the legs.

I absolutely despise Spanx, but I found a surprisingly comfortable and supportive longline bra at David's Bridal, so I'll be wearing that and just a comfy pair of cotton undies.  My dress is a full a-line though, so Spanx wouldn't make much of a difference anyway - it all depends on the dress I suppose.

Longline bustier (underwire and only two lines of boning, one each side so easy to wear) and underwear.  comfy=good!
