Dress still not here

When I ordered my dress they told me it would take 6 months. When I call them, they say they will look into it and call me back(and never do). So far they have told me 5 different dates that it would be here. The latest is that they said it was shipped and would be here on friday. When I called to see if it was in, they said, "no, it should be here next week." I have called other shops and ask them how long it would take and they all say 3 months and that they have never heard of this designer taking this long. It's now coming into the 7th month and i'm getting stressed!! Any advice??

    What designer? What dress? It's hard to give advice with no specifics.

    Luckily your wedding isn't for 5 more months so you still have a little time.  I would call the shop and either ask for the manager (or the owner, depending on how small the shop is) and tell them you need an exact delivery date.  Better yet, you should go down to the store.  It's hard for them to brush you off if you're in the store.

    I agree with jagore08. I had a hard time getting an eta on my dress so I called and spoke with the manager after I got the run-around too many times from staff. I had my dress the next week. I made the final payment and got it out of there immediately...I wasn't going to let my dress sit at that shop for alterations!

    Don't stress too much. You do have time!

    It's a small shop(mom and daughter run it). We told them that my mom is flying in next week so we made an appointment for Saturday.(after we stressed the fact that my mom is only going to be here for one weekend.)  I am also going to pay the balance and get it the heck out of there!

    And the designer is Maggie Sottero.

This designer getting behind happens every year, I believe (I remember many ladies flipping about it here last year lol) and I know that they prioritize by wedding date, not order date. Your dress will definitely be there before your wedding! No worries! </div>
