Menswear

Hi ladies. I need your opinion. I'm getting married in April at a country club at 5pm. My colors are navy blue, purple regency db and silver. So my BM dresses are navy blue and I was thinking charcoal grey tuxes for the guys with navy ties/vests and then my FI in a black tux with white vest/tie. Do u guys think this would look good or wierd???

Re: Menswear

  • I like the idea of grey for all the guys, including your fiance, and if you really want to make him differ from the rest of the groomsmen I would have him wear the white tie like you talked about with the other guys wearing the navy.

I think if your fiance looks totally different from everyone else he might look out of place

  • I think an entirely different color might be a bit much- everyone will know he's the groom even if he's dressed exactly the same. You can distinguish the groom from the rest of the party with a different color vest or tie. We did black suits and then my husband had a silver vest and tie combo. We went with suits because, like CMGR said, it's nice to have the guys have something to own afterwards.

  • I wasn't really thinking so he would stand out, more because I think the grey would look better with the navy. But you all confirmed my concern, that it would look off so thank you ladies

  • We are using Navy Tuxedos which coordinate much better with Navy than does black or grey. The way that we found them was by doing a google search. We used the search terms -  Navy Tuxedos Cobb County GA and there was a place right around the corner from us with Navy tuxedos and beautiful Cornflower Blue accessories!

    Give it a try!
