Men's Wearhouse - SCAM watch out!

I am encountered a nightmare yesterday at Men's Wearhouse. 

I got a phone call that we could receive $40 off the rental price for our groomsman and a free tux for the groom.  Sounded great so I made an appointment and went in to pick out the stuff.  LITTLE DID THEY TELL US when we were there that the price you are negotiating on tux's is after a discount that you cannot use with the $40 off. 

So basically make sure you confirm what the price that the guests will pay when they get the tux.  It seems like a great deal until you get into the nitty gritty.  None the less, VERY FURIUOS BRIDE right now.  You are really only getting $10 off not $40

I am seeing this same SCAM happen to my party right now!  So Frustrating and we are thinking of cancelling our order as we have not put deposits down yet.

I'm not sure what you mean... did they offer an instore discount that you couldn't use in combination with the $40.00 discount?  When we went in, we got $40.00 off of the regular price of each tux.

My husband has been a GM in two recent weddings using MW and has never had a problem getting this deal.  It doesn't seem weird or unusual (or like a scam) that you would not be allowed to use the group package discount in conjunction with other discounts- that's pretty typical of many deals like this.  Unless I'm misunderstanding what you're saying?

Why does everyone think that certain business practices are a scam? I had the same discounts and same coupons. At the bottom, it says that it cannot be combined with other offers. Most stores are like that.

They gave us 20% off in store which ended up being more than $40 off. Why do you think you should get an in-store percentage off PLUS $40 off?

Use an independant shop instead of a chain.  You'll get better service (such as being able to try on different styles rather than picking from a mannequin).  You may find better prices as well.
