Add straps or leave strapless?

Not sure whether to add detachable straps to my dress. Would be thin/spaghetti. Never wear strapless and still don't feel 100% comfortable with it. Any opinions would be very much welcomed! Thank you. http://www.flickr.com/photos/46736983@N05/

i love the way your dress looks the way it is, but if you arent comfy in it, you will have one more thing to worry about on your big day. I would get a tube top and wear it durring the day to see if you can even try to get used to it. and if your stuck on sleeves, an organza material somewhat off the shoulder would look beautifull on that! or something like these!

I think adding thin spaghetti straps would be distracting on that dress. It's gorgeous as is. I agree with kara though...those lace/organza wider straps would look pretty with the dress if you are dead set on adding straps. Good luck!

1. Dress is AMAZING! Who is the designer?

2. I say comfort comes first. I thought I wanted straps, but now that I've tried on (way too many) strapless gowns, I feel like I'll be fine, especially with the things they put inside (one consultant referred to it as a "seat belt") to keep the dress on. See what your seamstress can do to make it stay put. I think the straps would really need to match perfectly to look like they fit in with your dress. Maybe try taking a picture with them buttoned or pinned in place?

As a PP said, once the dress is fitted, it shouldn't be going anywhere.  The look would be ruined a bit by straps, I think.  But, you're the one wearing it, and if you're not comfortable, that's your choice!

The dress is gorgous! I would totally leave it strapless! I agree w/ PP about getting a jacket or shawl if you are concerned about covering your shoulders - that way you can take it off.
