my shoes and their shoes

This both of our second weddings. It will be simple country black and white and crimson colors next to the cabin by the river. I Dont know what to do about shoes??? My dress is a short white elegant country strapless dress. I want to wear cowgirl boots but I want them brown not black. Does it matter? Maids are wearing black dresses of their own choosing. Guys are in jeans black dress shirts some in boots others in shoes. Since my maids dresses will all be different styles same black color can they wear whatever shoes they want? This is a realistic wedding. I want everyone comfortable. Can I wear cowgirl boots and some of my maids wear boots and some wear shoes? does it really matter??? Please help!

I say let them choose their own , just tell them a color! Nobody notices thier shoes but I do think if some are in boots and some are not then it may look odd in your pics

I let my girls wear whatever they wanted, THEY originally wanted dark brown to go with their dresses but couldn't find anything they liked so I told them I didn't care the color/style to just get something that went colorwise with the dress and was comfortable. They all ended up with different metallic colors and like PP, no one noticed. I think they all even changed shoes after dinner too, again no one noticed.

I always vote for letting bridesmaids choose their own. Shoe comfort is very individualized. It depends on height, width and shape of feet...Let them be as comfortable as possible, while still coordinating with their dress
