Ordered my dress on-line

I ordered my dress on-line.  It came in last week and it's perfect!  However, now, I'm scared that it is going to turn yellow before the wedding!  Our date is just under a year away.  I ordered so early because I was very nervous about ordering it that way and wanted to allow enough time for me to correct my mistake if it turned out to be one.  Any ideas on how I can keep the dress from turning any crazy colors before the wedding?  Should this even be a concern?

I wouldn't be overly concerned about it. I've never heard of a white dress turning yellow (except with extreme age - like 20 years).

Just keep it in a white opaque (non see-through) garment bag and out of direct sunlight and it should be fine.

ETA: Glad everything turned out with the online order. We hear so many horror stories of girls that ordered dresses online b/c they were cheap and the dress either never showed up or was poorly constructed and completely unusable.

  • You could take it to a dress storage service and ask for the same treatment and packaging if you were really worried.

I also ordered online and had a good experience. I think there are two issues with what people recall about online order stories:  1) Very angry and heated people are more likely to tell those stories, and 2) You are more likely to remember those than good ones.
