Brown or colored BM dress for outdoor spring wedding?

I'm having such a tough time deciding on the color of the dress! I'll be having an outdoor wedding so there will be a lot of greenery in the background for pics. I'm leaning towards brown since it's an easy color to compliment (pink & gold are the wedding colors) but am afraid to regret not choosing a bright fun color for spring. Here is a dress I have in mind and there are a lot of color choices for the dress & sash. Any opinions would be really appreciated!

  • The link didn't work :(  But I'm planning an outdoor wedding in May...and here are my bm's dresses...so I think it will be fine!

  • Omg my FSIL just tried on this dress...just so you know the blue is not that light more like a turquois.  Pretty dress on though and it comes with a scarf!  I am using chocolate brown for a summer wedding so I think it is ok!

  •  I just had my Fall wedding and my bridesmaid were in mocha with accents of camel. The colors came out amazing in pictures, I highly recommend it. You can always change the accent color on the dress to bring out the spring feeling. I guarantee that you will love the color.

Personally, I think that pink dresses would be the perfect choice for a spring wedding. You could always have either gold sashes or even the brown sashes. For me, I think brown dresses would be too much of a downer for a bright springtime wedding but that's just my opinion.

If you really want brown dresses, I would definitely do pink sashes. There is also an Alfred Angelo dress that is somewhat similar to the one Misty posted. It has an accent color peekaboo skirt but also has a sash in the same color. Therefore there would be a lot of pink or gold to lighten up the dress. However, it could work the other way around as well - pink dresses with gold or brown. Here is the link to the dress:

  • I would definitely do a color.  I don't think brown compliments everyone and I think it is a trend.  Pink would be so pretty especially for spring.
