Color crisis

 I originally wanted to use red and white for my scheme, but my sister used it instead. I had changed my mind to pink and yellow (since my date is in the spring - of next year). I haven't seen many pictures of these colors being used together and was curious if anyone has had/been in or to a wedding with these colors and how they look.

My friend got married and used these colors. She used a darker pink (like watermelon or azelea (sp?)) and a sunshine yellow. The girls carried a single rose in the matching colors. It was very pretty.

I almost went for Canary and Rosepetal as my colors, I love that combo. Yellow and pink look really nice together as long as you use the right shades (not mustard yellow). It will be nice for a June wedding.

My friend used watermelon and lemon (she admitted it sounded like a fruit salad).  The only place she really used the colors was the bridesmaid dresses, though, pink with a yellow sash.

I've seen this done a lot and it looks very pretty.  You could have the girls wear a yellow dress with pink flowers or a pink dress with yellow flowers.  I've also seen centerpieces for when these colors were used.  A really nice idea for spring or summer centerpieces with these colors.. get vases and cut up slices of lemons.  Put the lemons in the vases with some pink flowers and water.

Ask your FI for his opinion on the colors, since it's his wedding too.

Our roses are butter yellow with fuscia edges.   They were bought for an april wedding but we are getting married in sept so we are doing black dresses with fuscia accent and those flowers.  I love the color combo.    Have fun with it also apple green looks great with yellow and pink

I agree with mbcdefg that colors are not a CRISIS. The color combo is a beautiful combo. You can go bright or more pastel what ever your wedding feel is! The roses that heatherm10 talked about sound absolutely lovely. I have never seen that rose before sounds like a unique flower!
