vegetarian shoes?

I'm trying to find non-leather shoes for my wedding.  I'm looking for 2-2 1/2 inch heels, silver or dyable satin, and good quality.  The problem I'm having is that the shoes I'm ordering don't have leather to save on money so they're cheaply made.  I'd appreciate any suggestions!

Re: vegetarian shoes?

  • Well I bought TouchUps dyable white satin shoes & dyed them to match the navy on my dress.  I don't think anything on them was leather.

  • Have you tried googling vegan shoes? I did and came up with several websites that sell non-animal product shoes from conventional and specialty vegan sellers. Veganchic.com had several pairs of silver sandals.
  • Hello!

I am also a vegetarian (well, vegan) who was looking for silver shoes.  Have you tried Endless?  They have a vegetarian section.  I don't think you'll be able to find dyeable.  I looked for dyeable shoes as well, and they all either use leather or silk-derived satin.

Anyway, I don't know your specific taste, but here are a few silver vegan shoes:

    Annie Aliza
    Dyeables Riva
    Rampage Frankie
    Pleaser Enchant

There are some outside of the vegetarian section that are vegetarian as well... you just have to check them if you go that route.  I ordered these and these to choose from.  Good luck!
  • Unfortunately, a lot of satin TouchUps and other shoes still have leather soles -- I bought mine and forgot to check I was so gleeful at finding shoes I really liked.

The store I got them from (I got them in-person at Shoes To Dye For, but they have an online version as well) does have the ability to show just the vegan ones, though:

Oh, hey, OP, you're in Boston.  Call them and see what of their vegan stock they have on hand and head out -- it's not that far.
