Check out consignment shops! You get to try it on not just look at pictures and you get the whole shopping experience. I was married in April of 2012 and I consigned my dress at Fabulous Frocks of Alexandria VA. I wish this shop had been around when I was shopping for my dress. The shop has so many beautiful oncewed and sample dresses...even never used brand new designer dresses. They are all highly discounted. The shop even carries veils and bridesmaid dresses. They even have their own alternations department to make sure your dress fits perfectly. I know this sounds like a shameless plug...well it is! Check out this shop and check out my dress! It's called Delicia by La Sposa. Beautiful, classic, but with whimsical feather detail. I really do wish that this shop was around when I was shopping!
