No veil, 6 days to go!

My mother and I found this lovely dress shop locally, where we ordered my beautiful gown in September for my July 3 wedding.  We also decided that I'd wear one of the veils the owner, who is sweet, designs and has created through another company.  We ordered the veil when the dress arrived in April.  After 4 (disasterous, thanks to the seamstress who didn't want to do her job and take in the dress where it needed to be taken in) fittings, I learned my vbeil had arrived.  As I was getting ready to put the dress on, I heard my mother and the owner having a conversation about the veil...it came in ivory, not the white I had ordered.  This was not a big deal, however, since she told my mom the white one would be delivered within the week.  When I cam eout of the dressing room in my gown, I looked over and saw that the veil was not only ivory, but it wasn't the veil I had ordered at all.  Come to find out that the veil company went out of business, and the veil I had ordered would not materialize.  The owner said she was getting a shipment of veils 2 days later, so when I came in for my final fitting (because the seanstress finally decided that she'd do the job she was paid to do), I could pick through them.  Pick through veils?  A week before my wedding?  I was furious...

2 days later, my dress fit, but no veils arrived.  I was told to come back Tuesday, a mere 5 days before my wedding...

Monday arrives, I get a call from the owner...the veils won't be in until THURSDAY.  That's 3 DAYS before my wedding, with no guarentee that I will want any of them.

My dress included an $80 credit towards the veil of my choice, but given that my dress took 5 fittings, the veil I wanted never came in and I wasn't informed until 11 days before the wedding, and the fact that I not only ordered my dress through her, but my mother-of-the-bride dress and 3 bridesmaids dresses, am I unreasonable in planning to tell the owner that I will not pay the remaining balance on the veil I choose?  Or should I just jump ship and run to David's Bridal or borrow one and be done with it?

So frustrated!
