Shoes,heels,pumps I need some help

Okay so I have yet to get my dress for 1 but I feel this question is valid before I try them on. I am barely 5'3 my hubby is 5'10 1/2 and were having a destination wedding in Cabo. So the ceremony will take place on the beach but after I need shoes. I don't want to make him feel short though i love me some high heels! any cute sandal suggestions?? I'm going for a dress with lace I love designer everything, glitter, diamonds, lace, and pink if that helps!

As for the bolded: I doubt you'd be wearing 7" heels, no? I don't see how on earth he'd feel short even if you wore 3 or 4" heels. He would still be significantly taller than you. FWIW, when I wear heels I am taller than H and neither of us give a crap.

Just realize that by wearing heels for part of the day and sandals/flats for part of the day, your dress will be two different lengths. If you hem it short, it will look odd with heels. If you hem it longer, you'll be stepping on it when wearing sandals. If you wanted to wear two vastly different heights in shoes, not doing a full-length gown would probably be best. Otherwise, I would try to keep your shoes to similar heights. If you want to wear a nice sandal all throughout the day (it was a little unclear in your OP since you mentioned loving high heels), I would look at bridal stores. I saw many pairs at the place where I bought my dress that were white with sparkles or rhinestones on them that looked nice if you saw them but also comfortable.

  • i'm 5'2" and FI is 5'10.  to be honest, me having 2-3 inch heels makes it a little more comfortable for us to dance. he in NO way looks short next to me. besides, everyone knows i'm tiny =)

a few things to note:  if your dress is being hemmed for flats/barefeet, then keep a LOW heel. if you have a tea length or short dress, then any size heel is fine.

if you do a google image search for 'pink lace wedding shoes' a lot of pretty options come up =)
  • Thank you guys!!
