Will I ever know it is the one? (the dress)

Hi ladies,

I would like to know if other brides feel the way I feel about dresses. I have tried a total of 40 dresses at different bridal shops and never had the feeling it was "the one". No "Glow", or crying, or anything... They just all look "pretty" to me.
Am I abnormal? I hear that when you put on the dress, you just know!
Since it wasn't happening, I bought a dress that fit all my criteria, was comfortable to wear and everybody else liked!

I tried on several dresses and thought, "This would be great if it only had X," "I would love this if they could add Y," or "Even though this is pretty, I'm not so sure about Z." If I had to talk myself into liking something 100%, then I put it to the side and tried something else.

Then I tried on something I had seen online and specifically called the shop to put aside for me. I didn't cry or scream or have fireworks going off in my head. But I felt pretty, I liked everything about it, I was comfortable, I liked keeping it on and walking around the store wearing it & looking in mirrors, and it made me smile. So I bought it.

It took me a really long time to choose my dress.  I bought a dress a few months ago on a whim and it turned out to be all wrong for me.  The second time around I found a bunch of beautiful dresses ... but I could only get it down to 3.  I finally had an inspiration at 3 a.m. one morning and realized which dress was really me, but it took weeks--if you're the type to really need to think about your decisions and carefully weigh options you may not have fireworks right away. For me, the dress just made me smile when I thought of it.

I hve never felt that " wow this is the one(smiling and crying)" but I still love my dress.  I feel indifferent about weddings so the dress had to be me and not an over emotional production to show it's the one
