Suggest a complimentary color for purple dress?

Hi all,

I am looking for some advice for colors.  Here is a pic of the bridesmaid dresses  http://www.dessy.com/dresses/bridesmaid/2735/?color=amethyst&colorid=1

What color pashmina/wrap would go well?  We tried black and didn't like it... Something purple?  Thanks in advance...

My MOH wore her silver high heels with the her Lapis (purple) dress. But they can wear black also. No one will be looking at their feet.

Definitely go with the silver. My BM's wore purple dresses like that with silver heels. While they didn't wear pashimas bc it was a summer weddding, I would definitely go with a shade of silver.

I'd use silver.  Our colors were Victorian Lilac, silver and white and they looked great together.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions...I was thinking silver as well.  It's actually not my wedding this time...but I'm in it, so I was put in charge of figuring this part out haha.  The bride didn't like the way the black pashmina looked, but she already had us wearing black shoes...  I thought silver would have been best, but whatever she wanted was fine with me since it's her wedding...

It's a January wedding so she wants us to wear them so we have a little extra warmth...but we're running out of time...
