Thoughts on Corsets?

I hate spanx with a passion but of course I want something to smooth me out. 
This is my dress and I was wondering if anyone knows of a good place to get a corset that doesn't lace or have the large hooks in the front.  I also need an underbust cuz I don't need any help in that department.  Any help would be great!  Thanks!

Go to a department store like Macys and get a longline bra.

I bought my longline bra from www.lindathebralady.com. They have a ton of different sizes and they are reasonably priced.  Also, just because you don't need any help in the bust area, the longline bra will give you support and smoothing in the chest area.  Most of the larger sizes don't have any padding, just fabric to sort of "cup" your breasts and smooth everything out under your gown.

Any department store will have a slip on "corset".  I had a waist cincher from Macy's or somewhere like that which has some boning, but stretched and slipped on as opposed to lacing up or hooks.  Many department stores carry these, as well as the long line bras that the PP's mentioned above.
I have a hard time finding a long line bra that fits properly, so if you are having the same issue, you could try a strapless bra with a separate waist cincher. Good luck!

i bought a longline bra from a dept store (penney's i think), and it was great!  it had light boning in it, and hooked in the back like a bra (but about 4-5 rows instead of typical 2-3).  it went down to my hips and gave a smooth line under the dress.

the top was strapless with underwire cups -- exactly how a strapless bra would be, just instead of ending at your ribs, it has long boning and ends at your hips!
so, essentially it had the corset effect without the added bulk/laces.
