NWR: Anybody seen these in person?

I have this strange desire for a red t-strap, and I really like these. I can't tell if the heel and platform are different color than the rest, or the different materials just make it look that way.

  • I think it is becasue the different material makes it look like two different colors.  I haven't seen those particular shoes in person but I have seen similar shoes and there really isn't a color difference.

  • I haven't, but just letting you know, Bunni, I sent you a PM about something else!
What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

  • Oh, thanks! I never check those.

  • I have actually seen those.  The colors are the same, but the upper is a suedeish material, and the heel is almost like a patent, so it does look slightly different. But, you can easily tell it's because of the material, and not that the shoe is the wrong color.

    I hope that makes sense.

Cmg, the description sounded like that was the case, and that makes total sense, thanks!

This colorblocking trend, however, doesn't always make sense: I found a really awesome pair at Macy's, but when I turned them around the heel was purple. Red mary-janes, with a bright purple heel. That makes almost as much sense as my piggy shaped unicorn.

They would be perfect for any lady in the Red Hat Society!

  • Oh, they also had their spring hats out. There was an epic red one, that would be awesome with those and a purple dress. If I was eligible to be a red hat lady, that is.

  • Ok. I must confess that I'm so into those two tone patent leather pumps right now.

I just love everything shiny and colorful. My husband says I look like Christmas lights sometimes. I mean I match, but I wear bright earrings, necklaces, bracelets, shoes. (not at the same time). Hats not so much because of the shape of my face, if I was tall and thin faced, then I would so rock those Easter hats. haha.
  • I mainly like colorful shoes. For Christmas I got a cool pair of yellow suede-ish pumps with a patent heel, they are pretty fly. I haven't gotten to wear them yet since the weather has been gross.

I love me some bigass hats, but don't really have much occasion to wear them. H isn't convinced that wearing a bigass hat is a good enough reason to justify the cost of Derby tickets.

Me too!  I have a great pair of patent leather neon pink (think highlighter pink) pumps.  I get many a strange look, mainly from guys, at my work place.  Yes, you can definitely see me coming from a mile away but they are just too much fun!

I also have a pair of suede royal blue pumps and a pair of light purple pumps that are super high so I can really only wear them if I know that I will be sitting 95% of the time.

  • Oh those sound Barbie-tastic. My pink ones are more muted and pretty high, so I don't wear them often. It's not the height that causes issues, more that the heel is super skinny.

My royal blue peep toes, however, I wear every time I get the chance.

H really doesn't get the loud shoes thing. So much so that I like to show him really obnoxious ones (like THESE), because he will compliment them to avoid hurting my feelings. He's a good sport about it, and somewhere deep in my soul, I have to admit the ballsier, fantasy version of me would probably wear those.

  • I have yet to buy some pretty Yellow pumps. Maybe this summer. I normally buy mine on those discount sites like hautelook, beyondtherack, ruelala, etc. and I ALWAYS miss the Betsey Johnson events; i love her shoes and there always seems to be a pair of yellow ones. bummer.

I wear heels daily, I am only like 5'4 and the shortest around here so I think I have to.

Oh but check these out. I mean these are more like weapons.
