BM Shoes and Grass

Our wedding ceremony is outside on a courtyard lawn.  Should I be worried about "pointy" heels and my bridesmaids sinking into the grass?  I am considering a wedge, but have only found one and think a strappy, pointy heel will look better.  Should I go with a wedge to make it easier to walk on the grass?  Anyone else worried about this issue?  Any recommendations on brands?

Have you walked on the grass yet? Why dont you go walk on it with stillettos or whatever you may like to wear and see. but wedges seem like a safer option.

Well, going out and walking on it is a great idea, but if it rains the day before or something like that, you may be in trouble. Have you considered picking a color for a shoe and telling the BMs they can pick whichever shoe they want as long as it's that particular color and warn them about the grass issue? I'm sure your BMs would find great shoes that would coordinate; they'd be able to have their own style while still matching; and they may be able to find shoes that don't have that problem.

Ditto PP, let the girls pick their own shoes in your color. I would be pissed if I had to wear pointy heels on the grass. I also think a wedding outside is less formal and the girls definitely don't need to be wearing heels wedge or strappy flats would be fine.

Don't pick out their exact shoes for them.

Pick a color that'll coordinate with their dresses, and then remind them that they will be outdoors on the grass and to be mindful of what kind of heel they choose. Then they can choose whatever they want.
