Bridesmaid popping in to tell you what a great experience we had with J Crew. We first bought dresses from Ann Taylor, but when we called to exchange them for a similar dress they told us it was final sale and I had to argue with them until they caved (giant headache). We said "forget it" to Ann Taylor, got our $ back after much argueing, and moved on. I had a really bad David's Bridal experience in a past wedding, so I wasn't ready to go back there.
We found beautiful dresses at J Crew on sale and were so happy with them. Three months before the wedding, I got pregnant and wasn't sure what size I would be wearing. I ordered the dress in a larger size, but hung on to the 1st dress. They told me they would waive their return policy so that I could return either dress at any time. Awesome!
Then, my fellow bridesmaid got sick a week before the wedding and dropped 10 lbs. She called me 2 days before the wedding in a panic because her dress was HUGE on her. She called J Crew and they worked really hard to find the dress in the size she needed in time for the wedding. AND they waived the return policy for her as well so she can return the 1st dress.
Of course, I (oops) misplaced the receipt for the original dresses and was worried they might not take them back. Just called and the guy said "no problem, emailing you a copy of the sales slip". Perfect.
Oh, and someone from J Crew called both me and the bride a few weeks before the wedding to see if we were happy with our dresses, if there was anything we needed, etc. Who does that!?
The wedding was yesterday, and the dresses looked beautiful
