Flat Wedding Shoe Woes

I'm on the taller side, so my wedding dress fits like a glove with no need for alterations IF I wear flat shoes. I can't stand flats (they make my legs look so stumpy) and I'm really struggling to find any I like.
I'm having a semi-formal ceremony in a historic art museum and event hall, so flip flops and other too-casual sandals are out. I'm looking for gold, white or eggplant purple if anyone has any ideas or pictures. I've tried the Zappos and Piperlime searches and found nothing. Thanks!!

Is your dress long? If so why are you worrying about what your legs look like in flats, they will be hidden underneath your dress!

But if you absolutely hate flats then do what Duds suggested and get a pair of kitten heels to give a slight lift. Have you looked at Nina shoes? They have a few kitten heels to choose from and they come in a variety of colors. You can even design your own shoe if you have still have a good amount of time before your wedding.

@maggie 0829 - My dress is floor lengthso the way my legs look doesn't matter as much as it is a psychological thing. My legs are my most hated body part and I just think I will feel frumpy and icky with flats, even if I can't see them. Oh well - the search continues!

Another question that did not occur to me early. In your post it says that your dress will not need any alterations if you wear flats. So does that mean if you wore heels your dress would be too short? If so I think you need to get over the issue with your legs or risk having to dole out a lot of money to make your dress longer, if that is even possible.

How tall are you? How tall is your FI? I could see your concern if your FI was like 6'5 and you were only 5'7 that you may feel a bit frumpy without heels next to him.

I'd planned to get gold ballet flats from LandsEnd, but I've been stalking the site for months and they're never there. [Don't want that copper or pewter that is there.] If that doesn't work out, I read about another online retailer that sells white satin ballet flats for $20. Can't remember the name, though, sorry.
