Winter bouquet alternatives

I'm getting married next February, and I live in an extremely snowy area, so winter is a very loose 'theme' for the wedding. I'm considering a few options for something to carry down the aisle, including a white faux-fur muff, a white lantern (with a candle), or a closer-to-traditional bouquet composed of white stargazer lilies and pine boughs.

Be honest - is it wierd to carry something aside from flowers? I really want to add some personal touches to the wedding, but I don't want anything to stand out in a negative "did you see that? How odd!" sort of way.

I have all the time in the world to figure it out, but I'm one of those people who takes forever to make a decision.. :)

Opinions are appreciated. :)

Re: Winter bouquet alternatives

  • I've seen the muff thing. If you check out the winter boards, there is a girl who used muffs for her and all of her bridesmaids and it looked really cute. I'm getting married this February and chose to do regular flowers, and just kept it to whites and blues. I didn't want much color, as there isn't usually much in winter.
  • I m carrying a bouquet of antique brooches and feathers, so to me nope not weird at all!
