Has Anyone used Spanx?

Like everyone else, I'm struggling to lose my last few pounds, and I've heard that Spanx can work wonders (I'm interested in the one that goes from the knees and up the stomach). Has anyone used Spanx and loved them? I just don't know with a corset bra, that they are even worth it, if the bra is over the Spanx! Then again, I have a very fitted trumpet dress. Any advice?

I wore another brand, but it did the trick. They're not really meant to be worn with a longline/corset bra, and won't do much for you. If you're interested in them, I would wear them with a regular strapless or with bra cups sewn into the dress.

I have spanx they work great for my stomache. but it doesnt help much with my back fat. it sort of pushes my back fat out more! haha. and sometimes it'll roll down but it works for the most part [:

I have one like you describe, and I love it.  I have a little tummy, and it sucks it in pretty well.  It also smooths out any imperfections in the butt and thighs.  I have the Wacoal brand I think.  I tried them on in the store and liked it better than Spanx so I suggest you try them on. 

I also have a Spanx that basically looks like a strapless dress.  I do NOT recommend that style.  It flattens your breasts (who wants that?!) and the bottom rides up the whole time!  Horrible.  I assume this is not a Spanx brand related problem but more of a style related problem.

I'm willing to try ANY brand, I'm not specific to Spanx (but that is the only one my bridal store carries). My main question I guess is that if you wear the 'shorts' one from your knee to under your breasts...what kind of bra do you wear? They can't sew a bra into my particular dress...so what do you ladies suggest?

I bought a Spanx from Lane Bryant to wear under my dress and under my corset bra! I love it so much that I've been wearing it with other outfits before my wedding! I don't know why I didn't buy one sooner. I haven't tried any other brands, so I can't compare. I bought the one that goes from my knees to my bra line and it works wonders! The best part is the...um....hole...to make bathroom breaks easier! AMAZING!

One more thing, the lady in the store tried to convince me to buy the "brief" style since I was wearing a corset bra, but I'm really glad that I opted for the kneed to breast style so that I can wear it with so many other things!

I want to try it out.  Not necessarily Spanx but something to help me look a bit more slim in my dress.
