I got married almost 3 weeks ago. I want to do a trash the dress shoot with my photographer for maybe our 1 year anniversary...but not actually trash it - maybe just go to the beach, go in the ocean and get it wet or something. Do something where it would still be able to cleaned and not destroy it completely. Should I not get my dress cleaned until after the trash the dress shoot then since it's going to get dirty anyway? Or should I clean it now? Wasn't sure if it matters in terms of making it harder to clean stains/dirt that are 1 year old. The bottom of my dress is dirty (nothing major, just normal dirt from walking around in it all day) and I noticed on the inside there are some stains where a little bit of the spray tan rubbed off.
Thoughts? What did you guys do?
ETA: Also, was wondering what it typically costs to get the dress cleaned just so I know what to expect.
