Help! Bridesmaids colors question

Hi everyone!

My bridesmaids are wearing cornflower blue dresses from Davids Bridal in my July wedding.  Our secondary color is canary yellow but I am having trouble incorporating the color in with my bridesmaids.  I am going to do yellow flowers but wanted a little more.  Any suggestions?  Would canary yellow shoes with the blue dresses look good or weird?  Any help is appreciated!

I love the cornflower blue! Canary is a pretty strong color, and the dress color is beautiful. Personally, I would not want to take away from the color by adding the canary yellow as the shoe color. I think that the yellow flowers will really pop on their own in front of the dresses so that should be enough, especially if you plan on incorporating yellow into other parts of the ceremony/reception..

Don't make them buy & wear canary yellow shoes. Not only would it look costumey, but it would probably be difficult to wear those shoes again. Let them get neutral coloured shoes.

I personally think yellow bouquets would be enough yellow, but you could get them the same yellow flowers for their hair. If the style of dress allows for a sash, you could also add a pale yellow sash.

I agree with ring pop. The dress is such a pretty color & it is strong that anyother strong color will not look right.

Using flowers & maybe something in their hair would be enough & very pretty!

Cornflower is such a pretty color! That's what my mom in law's dress was for our wedding. Definitely do not do canary yellow shoes, or any kind of yellow. They probably won't even look that good and the girls will never wear them again.

I am sure the flowers will pop enough on their own, as pp said, but I am a big fan of sashes. If you want your MOH to look differently, maybe she can wear a yellow sash? If you don't care about her looking different, they could all wear sashes.

If you don't like sashes, then small flowers (and I emphasize small here) for their hair would be nice. DB does sell these for fairly cheap.

Pashminas (sp?) are also an idea but I would switch to sashes since they would be less color to potentially take away from the beautiful color of the dresses than pashminas would be.

GL! I am sure that no matter what you chose to do, it will look beautiful! Just, please, no yellow shoes. I would personally go with black because it's the easiest and cheapest on the girls.

I agree with all of the PP. No yellow shoes please  The yellow flower will look amazing with the dresses.

no yellow shoes...flowers will be enough. If you must, you could find yellow gem (like a fake yellow diamond) earrings or necklace.

There are also yellow sapphires which are very pretty. You could probably find relatively cheap pendants and earrings for your girls.
