semi chapel train

what exactly is a semi chapel train and is it ok for a 6pm wedding

Re: semi chapel train

  • Semi-chapel refers to the train length, although I've never heard of "semi-chapel" I'm guessing it's either between a sweep train and a chapel, or between chapel and cathedral?
Either way, it honestly makes no difference. Any length train, or lack of a train is fine for a 6PM wedding- whatever you prefer, style wise, is just fine!

  • thanks!  It looks like its between a sweep and a chapel, so now I am wondering if I could get a cathedral veil? I have just always thought I would have lots of fabric whether train or veil trailing me...I love every part of the dress but I am a little bummed bc the train is not as long!
  • Absolutely!! The only thing I'd say, though- is I'd only do this if you want to take your veil off for the reception. Most women do this anyhow, but you'll definitely want to do it with a cathedral veil.

But a cathedral veil over a shorter dress can be lovely, especially if you have a nice long aisle! :)
