HELP! I need flats!!

I originally was going to buy a pair of shoes from bridalshoes.com and have them dyed blue. However, in reading their disclaimers, they made it pretty clear that the dye might come off, especially when it gets wet. My wedding is indoors, so I don't see that happening, but then I thought perhaps it's better to find a shoe that is already blue. Easier said than done.

I'm looking for flats or a wedge/heel that is not higher than 1 1/2 inches. Anything higher will cause me to have to get the hemline altered and I'm really trying to avoid that. Plus, I don't even like heels and am way more comfortable in flats. Oh, and I have big feet (size 11 1/2). Anyone have suggestions as for where to look?

I found mine believe it or not at Aldo. Now my flats are clear with rhinestones all over but they had lots of other colors and are coming out with new ones for spring. You might be able to find some there that are blue.

Also I did a search on Pinterest:

And lots came up. Click on a pic of a shoe that you like, then click on it again when the picture gets bigger and it will take you to the website from where they were "pinned" from which are usually places you can buy them.

  • Zappos has a lot of larger sizes. I wear an 11 so I know how hard it is. Also try amazon and search by size. They have a tooon of brands in one location
  • I just ordered these in purple this morning - they have them in 12.  The black has a ton of sizes sitll.  Not sure yet if I'll wear them for the wedding, but I like them and the price is excellent!

  • I was also looking for blue shoes and decided against the dying route for fear of it getting wet (bright blue feet, or worse a bright blue stain on the bottom of my dress was not something I wanted to risk!).  It took me about 3 weeks to find the shoes I wanted, but apparently if you stalk Zappos and Endless persistently, what you want will eventually come up.  I definitely recommend keeping an eye on those.
  • Try Amazon as well; that's where I found mine.  A lot of resellers will have older shoes in still new condition, and you might find an older style that isn't made anymore but is just what you wanted.

  • I love all the discount stores like DSW, Marshall's, TJ Maxx, etc. It can be very hit or miss, but after some hunting I always end up finding something great! Steve Madden is also one of my favorite brands, they usually have lots of styles in lost of colors and are super comfy.

  • Hmm, just tried to post and it didn't work :( Well all I said was that I'm always a fan of discount stores like DSW, Marshall's, TJ Max, etc. They can be hit or miss but as long as you are willing to put some time in, I bet you can find something great! (And affordable.)

  • I bought my blue flats at DSW.  Loved them!
