Traveling to venue in wedding dress

Hi Everyone!  My venue does not have a place where I can change into my dress.  I had a plan for this, but, well, you know how it goes.  Now it looks like I might need to dress and then ride in a car for 30 minutes.  Will I be a wrinkled mess when I arrive?  Any suggestions to avoid this?  Help!!

What type of car are we talking about?  If you can sit in the back seat by yourself your dress should be fine.  Also, what fabric is your dress made of?  Some wrinkle more then others.

But I would also take MilkDuds advice and ask your seamstress what she recommends.

But remember, a lot of brides ride in cars or limos to their ceremony site without too much issues.  Just when you get in the car, take the time to fold or place your dress nicely to prevent too many wrinkles from occuring.

I rode for about 30 minutes in a limo and my dress was fine.

I think it depends on your dress fabric.  Lace isn't going to wrinkle as much as chiffon, etc.  My dress is chiffon... and it wrinkled in the bag on the way home after picking it up.  I was planning to drive to the venue in my dress, but had a change of plans after I saw how easily it wrinkled.   I think if your dress is taffeta or lace... you should be fine.

Thanks everyone.  I meet with the seamstress today and will get her advice.  I'm actually not sure what the fabric is, I'm pretty ignorant about all things dressy!
