Something Old, New, Borrowed and Blue?

Ok obviously the dress and most of the outfit is new. But what are some suggestions for old, borrowed and blue? My colors are a shade of blue so I figured I could work that into my jewelry somehow but I am completely lost otherwise. Suggestions?

  • Ok so my dress is new and so are my shoes.

Something old - I don't have a clue as of yet.  Could be me.  LOL!!!

Something borrowed - Don't know as of yet either.

And my something blue - Is my Garter.

Has anyone ever heard of a lucky penny in your shoe?  I have heard this before and was wondering if anyone else had heard of this.
  • old - heirloom ring of my grandmothers thagt i already wear everyday/lace from my moms dress wrapped around my bouquet and on my garter
    new - dress
borrowed - moms pearl necklace and bracelet
    blue- garter
  • old- vintage handkerchief given to me by my MIL with my new last name initial

borrowed- six pence given to my sister on her wedding day from my now deceased grandmother

Blue- I had a few things: aquamarine bracelet from DH, dress label with blue embroidering of my wedding date and our monogram, and my seamstress put a little blue flower on the comb of my veil

  • We went to Etsy to find new to us and blue.  They are vintage pins...

The old and borrowed cam from me.  My handmade garter made for me by my grandfather when I was 15.  He was diagnosed with terminal cancer and had one made for both me and my sister.  The other was my an evening purse carried by my aunt who loaned it to my daughter and her granddaughters.

My baby girl is a married woman...and now my baby girl HAS a baby girl. Time unfolds in such an amazing way. I've been blessed!
  • New- dress and shoes

Old- a vintage brooch my Dad bought me at an antique store

Borrowed- my future sister in laws head piece and veil

    Blue- garter
  • For something BLUE, my SIL got me a small blue charm that I tied around my bouquet. Along with the charm, she got me a necklace that I can wear the charm on after the wedding. I think it is from Brighton.
  • Old: grandma's earrings she gave to me
    New: dress and shoes
Borrowed: like futurepivko, i'm not sure yet either
Blue: I'm having our wedding date embroidered on my shoes in light blue thread.  And maybe our initials somewhere on my dress in case I change my mind about the shoes.

  • Old: My great-grandmother's ring, re-set with a sapphire (shared birthstone)
    Borrowed: Italian lace garter
Blue: Um... everything? Blue is my favorite color, so I'll have sapphire earrings, necklace, e-ring, great-grandmother's ring, shoes, the ribbon on the garter... even my wedding band has sapphires! I'll also have blue ribbon on my bouquet.

  • This antique brooch with blue stones would be good for your something "blue"!

Your "something new" could be a new piece of jewelry!

"Something borrowed" could be a piece of jewelry from someone.

    Good luck :)
  • My something old is my grandma's Platinum and Diamond earrings from the 40's.

My something new is my wedding dress.

My something borrowed is my veil and headpiece--they are my moms.

My something blue is my engagement ring, it is an aquamarine. :)
