So my fiance didn't want a tux - he wanted grey, and didn't like grey tuxes. So we're getting 3 piece grey suits for the groom and all the groomsmen. He also doesn't like boutonnieres, and would like to do pocket squares to add a punch of color. Our wedding color is light blue, and we think that will go nicely with the grey suits. So grey jacket, vest, pants, and blue tie and blue pocket square.
We'd like him to stand apart from the groomsmen. But he's not into doing an ivory tie and pocket square to match my dress - he wants that blue punch of color. None of the options I've seen to make him stand out work for us:
a) vest of different color (he wants the grey vest that matches)
b) boutonniere of different design (no boutonnieres)
c) tie of different color (he likes the blue wedding color we've chosen)
d) suit of a different style/color (he likes the suit he's chosen, and wants the groomsmen in that suit too)
Am I out of options? Can you guys think of any other options I'm forgetting? As it stands right now, we have nothing left to change or add that would set him apart...
