How to keep dress?

Hi Ladies!

I got my dress back from DB, altered, steamed, and ready to be worn! Hooray!!! My question is this, what is the best way for me to keep the dress until i wear it 6 weeks from now? I want it to hold its shape and not stretch out.The top of the dress is heavily beaded, so it is pretty heavy on top. DB hung the dress on a mannequin. Should i hang the dress in the closet or should i keep it flat?As always, i really appreciate all your input Thank you so much and happy planning!!!
