wedding dress rental?

I have no desire to own a wedding dress once the wedding is over! Does anyone know of any decent places in New jersey, Central Jersey or otherwise, where I can rent my wedding dress??

I'd ask this on your local board... but you can always sell your dress once the wedding is over!

You can rent a dress for about the same as it costs to buy a used one. And if you buy a used one, you can get about half of that money back by selling it to the next person.

Yeah, I would buy used and possibly resell rather than rent. I've never looked into it, but can you even alter rented dresses?

FWIW, I bought my dress new from David's Bridal for $250. I don't think that was that much. Also, if I'd had a summer wedding, I probably would've spent even less, as there were a lot of cute, shorter white dresses at regular non-bridal stores when I was looking.

There are places in NYC that do this but to be honest you can buy a dress at a place like DB for cheaper than the rental.
