ivory dress with tan suits?!?

I found an ivory dress that I'm absolutely in love with, but am concerned ivory won't look right next to the tan suits I had my heart set on for the groom and groomsmen.  The dress also has a sash with pewter details and I'm not sure what color bridesmaid dresses would compliment both the tan suits and the pewter in the dress (if that's even possible).  I'm about ready to give up on the ivory dress because I have no idea what works with it! Help!

I wore an ivory/light gold dress, and my husband and groomsmen wore tan suits, and it looked wonderful.

You could also have them wear gray suits, it could go with the pewter sash.

I think the colors would go well. Ivory is extremely close to white, so really anything will compliment it well.

I agree w/ the previous posts. Ivory is a neutral and goes with just about anything. i say dont worry about it and get the dress you love.

I agree. I just got my dress yesterday (in ivory) and I plan on doing the same thing (the tan suits).  I think it will look fine.  If you do a google search you'll find plenty of pictures of brides in ivory dresses with grooms in tan suits.  I think it looks fine.

Agree with pp. The ivory and tan will look very nice together. As for your bridesmaids, you could do just about anything: fuschia, navy blue, green, etc. But I would steer aware from a neutral color for them.
