My fiance and I are planning an Alice In Wonderland themed wedding. Does anyone have any good ideas on attire or dress code for the wedding party and guests? Specifically wedding dresses and bridesmaid dresses....links would be appreciated. Much thanks. =]
Re: Ideas for an Alice In Wonderland themed wedding?
An Alice in Wonderland theme sounds really fun! For your bridal party, IMO it might be a better idea to find a specific color that stands out to you if you watch the movie and use that for the dresses and incorporate it into what the groomsmen are wearing. You can also do fun things with the boquets and boutineers like have roses that are "painted" red. As for your guests, what they wear is really up to them. I think most people would feel uncomfortable having to dress up. I hope this helps a little. Good luck!
I planned a bridal shower for my best friend doing a mad hatter theme. If you would like I can share some pics of what I used for decorations. Maybe it can give you some inspiration.
Disney's Alice in Wonderland cartoon and live action would give more themeatic color. The iconic Alice baby blue could translate into bridesmaid's dresses or your bridal acessories. The different flowers she speaks to could be included as colors, bouts, or bouquets.
As for your guests, as PP have said, you can't really dictate what they'll be wearing. You can pass by word of mouth that you're having a "tea-party" themed wedding, but you shouldn't say anything specific to them about their attire unless it's a black/white tie event.
Search "Tinkerham" on the Nest as well. She may still have a bio, it was quite good!
