Colonial Dress

I'm having a devil of a time finding a colonial gown. I'm likely going to have to have one made. 

Does anyone have a place to find one that they know of?

I have a couple of recommendations:

- check with some theater groups in your area, and push the "area" out if you don't have any in your immediate vicinity. Not sure if they'd be willing to rent it to you or you'd have to buy it, but they'd be a likely source. Or, if you have any historical re-creation museums or activities (you know, like the Civil War re-enactments that people do, but for colonial times), they may have one, or be willing to recommend a good seamstress they've used.

- google the heck out of "colonial wedding dresses".

- go to your local board & ask for ideas. Usually someone knows someone else who might have an idea.
