simplybridal.com??

Has anyone ordered their dress from this site?  I have had a terrible time finding the dress I want, and saw it here.

I am wondering if these dresses are made in China.  I will not order a dress that is made in a sweat factory by underpaid and poorly treated workers.

Has anyone had any experiences with this company?

  • I'm sorry but I am always hesitant to buy anything that originally would cost almost $1700 (saw a dress like this) and was being sold for $415.  Why is the price so low?  What could possibly be wrong with it that it is marked down so much?  KWIM?

What dress off that site do you like?  Maybe we could help you find something similar from a legitimate designer.

  • I believe the dresses are made in Taiwan. Either way they are made over seas and they are "knock-offs". I imagine the materials might not be that good or even the quality for that matter. I almost purchased a dress form that site, but then decided against it and purchased locally. Also, you can't really go by the reviews because I think most of them are fake.

  • Looks too cheap to be true.

They've listed some bridal shops in a number of cities. Maybe contact them to ask if they've heard of the website?
  • I can't speak for their wedding gown selection but I ordered my bridesmaids dresses there and they turned out wonderful! They are beautifully made and the fabric is very good quality. We were amazed at what we got for the price. Now with that being said, I also ordered my veil there. I ordered an ivory veil with pearls and beadwork. The veil was nice, not super well made but good enough for me but what got me was the color. It was so far from ivory, I couldn't keep it. So it might be a hit or miss kind of thing. Maybe too big of a gamble for your wedding dress in my opinion. Also, they take like 45 days to ship anything to you so if you do end up ordering anything, do it with plenty of time!
  • Just a long-shot here, but I am looking for someone who has had a wedding/reception here and served liquor (open bar-not cash bar).  I have some questions about acquiring the liquor license.  It seems like a giant hassle, but it is a wedding venue and I can't imagine that no one has had an open bar out there before me!
